There will also be a Gallery Opening on Thursday, January 9 from 6-7pm.

About the artist: I am an art educator and painter based in Midlothian, Virginia. I am blessed to live with my husband of thirteen years, our ten-year-old daughter, seven-year-old son, and sweet Goldendoodle, Molly. As a graduate of James Madison University, I have been teaching elementary art for the past 16 years. In 2020, I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 34. After twelve weeks of chemotherapy and multiple surgeries, I was deemed cancer free in March of 2021. I decided it was time to focus on the things that bring joy to my heart—being a wife, mother, volunteering, and making art. I love to create colorful paintings of ordinary objects. One evening last fall, my daughter sat with me while I was painting. She remarked, “Mom, your paintings are so happy!” Mission accomplished.

Visit the cafe Monday-Friday 7am-6pm and Saturday/Sunday 8am-6pm to view Jennike’s beautiful art.
